Nr 12 Crete

Crete

The tournament this time was held in the beautiful and idyllic Crete, which I must say felt more life a luxurious vacation rather then work! Saying that we were up at 6 am every morning and practised and played every day all day but still, coming back to Amirandes Hotel, a five star luxury resort just made the day a little smoother.

After my injuries I had brought my coach Darren Webster Clarke along this time and we had a really good few days with lots of good and effective work. I did unfortunately miss the cutt by one shot again but I was swinging it really good and both my shoulders felt STRONG wish it self is a victory.

My putting seems to continue to be a problem for me and I have now had to re-evaluate how I go about my putting and I have decided to start doing a few things differently. I am really looking forward to get back out there to test this out!

5 birdies is not much to clock inn but I was hitting the ball so well and putting it so close to the hole that there should be no reason for me to not have at least 5 birdies per round from now on!

bonus !

The past few months have proved to be a challenge beyond my imagination. With two injuries and health problems golf became secondary focus and taking care of my self became the primary.

But by taking care of my self i have also taken further steps onto becoming a stronger, more stabile, focused and powerful golfer. I believe that its though the hard times in life we define who we are and the second half of this year has proved to be one of the hard times in my life. The result has unfortunately for my golf not always been as good as i had hoped or needed it to be but golf is a game that does not define you after a few rounds or events. The overall golf I have played this year and is continuing to play shows and proved that I am a bigger and better golfer now then ever.

Its difficult to walk you though how and why and when everything and what everything has occurred but I ended up having to pull out of the LETAccess event in Norrporten, Sweden due to a dislocated shoulder.  That became the start of many weeks of rehabilitation and practice to find out how to handle this as I was still having to try to play the next events as I am totally relying on earning ranking points. A few weeks later the other shoulder also dislocated so trying to pull though was even more difficult than initially expected.  But I am so lucky to have Olympiatoppen looking after me so while I have been home and not playing I have been having intensive rehabilitation therapy and it seems to be working cause I feel stronger and more powerful now then ever.

Not my best even!!!!!

I had been working with some very good physiotherapists and trainers and even tho they had told me that there was still a while away from that my injury had healed I both wanted and needed to get back out there. I can say I tried but I also think that’s all I can say!!! The worst golf I have played in years…. So bad I was laughing my way around the second day. Sometimes you just don’t have the feeling, and I can say this week was one of those times.

As you can see under, this was just not good!!! I guess even pro´s have bad days….
